DeWayne C. Allen – Business Consultant
Mr. Allen is a retired business consultant who remains active in his field helping young businesses and non-profits alike. Prior to retiring DeWayne had over twenty-five years experience in the business management arena for a multitude of companies that included Xerox and AT&T.; He has also served as Adjunct Professor at Webster University teaching negotiation skills at the graduate level and Advisor/Coordinator at St. Louis Community College where he taught and restructured business owner courses.
Mr. Allen has also advised many small businesses in the areas of finance, equipment leasing, investment, and venture capital. He acquired/started seven small businesses concurrent with forming his own Management Consulting business. He remains an active mentor to college students, young professionals, and owners of small to medium-sized businesses.
DeWayne is also a very generous contributor of his time and expertise to the non-profit sector which, in addition to the Gift of Hearing Foundation, has included Boy Scouts of America, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Museum of Yachting, and St. Louis Day Care Association. His writing credits include co-authoring “Business Writing Made Simple” (published) and “Twenty-First Century Family Values” (in progress).
His current research project is focused on the causes of hearing disorders and cures in an effort to reckon with his own personal hearing loss.
Mr. Allen received his BA and Masters Degree in Secondary Education from Central Missouri State University. His post-graduate Business and Finance studies were at Washington University in St. Louis.
