Rep. James Eldridge, State Representative, 37th Middlesex District, MA
Jamie is a life-long resident of Acton, Massachusetts and won his
bid for the State Senate in a land-slide victory in November, 2008.
Previously he served three terms as State Representative for the 37th
Middlesex district. His major platform has been reform in the House
of Representatives and advocating for education, health care, and
economic issues. As a proponent of the CI technology, Senator
Eldridge has co-authored a docket proposing mandatory insurance
coverage for CI surgery for children in Massachusetts.
Senator Eldridge is a charter board member of the Gift of Hearing
Foundation. Prior to serving as a state representative, Mr.
Eldridge worked with the Merrimack Valley Legal Services, a
non-profit organization providing free legal services to the poor
and elderly. He has also worked with the law firm of Hale & Dorr of
Boston where he organized volunteer paralegal services for permanent
residents to become U.S. citizens.
Sen. Eldridge received a B.A. degree in Political Science from Johns
Hopkins University in 1995. He is also a 2000 graduate of the
Boston College Law School where his studies focused on Community
Economic Development (CED) law. |
