Ajit N. Maira - Marketing and Strategy Consultant

Mr. Maira has specialized in successfully helping companies deal with the challenges of understanding the application and value of emerging technologies and creating or managing significant market change. His exceptional expertise spanning thirty eight years includes new market development; emerging technology evaluation; strategic assessments; building marketing, sales, and service organizations; and skills and human resource management.

Ajit is currently Senior Vice Principal of Consulting and Training at ITSMA in Lexington, Massachusetts. Prior to joining ITSMA he was principal and owner of a management and marketing consulting firm. His previous experience includes serving in a principal position with Computer Associates in their Corporate Strategy Group and prior to that, several Senior VP positions. He has also served as VP of Marketing, Sales and Service for Steinbrecher Corporation, Concord Data Systems, and Raytheon Data Systems and has held Marketing and Sales Management positions with Burroughs, Xerox, and Digital Equipment; and Sales positions with IBM.

In addition to serving on the Advisory Board for the Gift of Hearing Foundation, Ajit has served on many boards of high tech companies in the Massachusetts area and remains active in the public speaking arena.

Ajit received a Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical Engineering) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, in 1967. He has also taught a post-graduate course in Information Systems Consulting and guest lectures at Bryant College in Rhode Island.
