Julie Tweed, R.N. B.S.N. The Learning Center for the Deaf
Ms. Tweed has been with The Learning Center for the Deaf in
Framingham, Massachusetts for almost ten years where she
provides assessment of physical and psychological needs of
adolescents with depression, bi-polar and emotional disorders.
Her own experience of becoming a late-deafened adult whose life
was changed by bilateral cochlear implants led her to volunteer
for the Gift of Hearing Foundation.
After receiving her BSN at Boston College, Julie nursed at Beth
Israel Hospital in Boston and also provided visiting nurse
services. She is also a student of American Sign Language.
After several years of volunteer service, Ms. Tweed joined the
Board of Directors of the Gift of Hearing Foundation in 2007. |
