The Gift of Hearing Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of cochlear implant and hard-of-hearing patients through research, education and advocacy.

Supporting Research and Emerging Technologies
The Gift of Hearing Foundation seeks to enhance cochlear implant technology innovation through private funding of biomedical research and emerging technologies with the goal of making them more efficient and cost-effective.

Enhancing Public Awareness
Through educational efforts, the Foundation aims to enhance public awareness of cochlear implants and increase the pool of the multidisciplinary professionals needed to support implant candidates before, during and after surgery. The Foundation will also support efforts to create awareness of the needs of the deaf and hard-of-hearing population.

Supporting Advocacy Efforts
The Gift of Hearing Foundation will work with government officials to address the shortcomings of reimbursements for cochlear implants which directly benefit patients and society and thereby increase the effort to make the technology available to all who need it.

Providing the Gift of Hearing
Working closely with the medical community, the Gift of Hearing Foundation will provide financial support to help a select number of economically disadvantaged patients receive cochlear implants. We will use these selected cases to highlight the gaps in reimbursement for pediatric cochlear implants and advocate for change.
